This is a very high quality NEW cylinder and is machined from a solid chunk of steel and not a pot metal junker like some of the cheap knock offs sold a few years back.
I own a bunch of Nagant pistols, and have several of these for my guns. They were drop-in fit for my pistols. That said there could be some minor final fitting involving the timing required for yours.
One thing to note is that this does not include the center cylinder guide and spring - you use the ones from your original cylinder which is a perfect fit. Swapping those parts takes a couple of seconds and does not require any special tools.
