Barrels are made from SUS416 stainless steel.
The bore is button rifled, then air gauged to offer the most exacting size and finish to make this the most consistent barrel available.
The barrels are not chambered to allow gunsmiths to cut the chamber to their application.
When 1911 barrels are made, the whole thing is rifled, and then the chamber is cut through the rifling at the chamber end.
